Nick Cannon sings about Mariah Carey and admits: “I was with the girl of my dreams, and I screwed it up.”
Singer and actor Nick Cannon has released a song about his ex-wife Mariah Carey in honor of International Valentine’s Day. He shared with fans the motive behind the song and admitted that it is not an attempt to bring her back because he knows it is an impossible task: “This song is taking responsibility for my actions as a man.”
It seems like it was so long ago, but the love triangle that occupied the gossip and music sections was Eminem-Maria Curry-Nick Cannon somewhere more than a decade ago. Carrie had a rather brief relationship with Eminem (who left him broken), and after that, we even married Canon. The two lasted six years until they unpacked the package.
This week, eight years since that media breakup, Canon has suddenly released the “ Alone “ song. In the song, he samples a song from his ex-wife from 1990, and he sings: “I say I turn around even though I know I’m missing / I would have replaced everything in this case / If I could bring you back / If I could go back to where we started.” As expected, his and Carrie’s fans saw it as an outreach to the singer, or at least groping, for a comeback.
