Bono, the lead singer of the legendary U2 band, does not connect to repertoire • In an interview, the Irish singer said that he is embarrassed by most of the band’s songs, hates its name, and understands anyone who still thinks his voice is not beautiful.

A mental account 40 years later: Bono, the legendary lead singer of U2, one of the greatest rock bands in history, is embarrassed by his repertoire. In a hilarious interview, he says he felt ashamed of most of the songs he wrote: “I was in the car, and one of our songs was played on the radio. I turned red. I was so embarrassed.”

“Most of our songs embarrass me, make me cringe,” the 61-year-old Bono said, adding that one of the only songs he is proud of is Vertigo. And he also has something to say about his singing abilities: “I don’t like the way my voice was. He was very tense. I became a singer only recently, it may not have happened yet in some people’s ears, and I understand that.”

The lead singer recalled that time in the ’80s that was told to the band’s bassist, Adam Clayton: “Maybe tell your singer to go down the ladder? It will do him good, his voice good, and he will do us good that we should listen to him.” It seems from his response that Bono agrees: “I did…
