Rock and alternative lovers will be pissed, and pop lovers may be happy. Here are a dozen pretty amazing facts about popular music in America, including Rihanna, Justin Bieber, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Hard, Barbara Streisand, Jimmy Hendrix, and more

The world of popular music is full of happenings, achievements, records, and aspirations. It is a competitive environment where artists are measured not only by the quality of their music but also by their successes in the parades and among the audience’s tastes. For decades, there has been a tension between the flavor of the audience and the critics’ taste, between light pop music and rugged rock and alternative music.

And yet, with facts hard to argue. I have compiled 12 amazing facts about popular music and artists in America and general. Some of them can be said in sentences like “Wrong!”, “No, it does not make sense!” Or “Unbelievable!”. Rock and alternative fans might get pissed, and pop fans might be happy. I recommend taking things in the proper proportions.

Fact # 1: Depeche Mode bands, R.E.M and Led Zeppelin, have never had a song that reached number one in America. Rihanna has ten of these.
